So, I thought it would be fun for us to do a Secret Santa event for the Commune this year, since we actually have a decent number of people here, and a good number of us can't participate in the one happening on the mainsite. Of course, I don't want this to overlap with that one, because those of us who can participate in either shouldn't be forced to choose between the two, so I thought it might be nice to have one that starts after the mainsite's art exchange ends.
My proposal for the schedule is something like this:
Dec. 29th - Jan. 15th — Signing up.
Jan. 17th - Feb. 09th — Making the gifts.
Feb. 09th - Feb. 11th — Pinch-hitting.
Feb. 12th - Feb. 15th — Receiving gifts, wondering who made them.
Feb. 16th — Revealing the Secret Santas.
Anytime after Feb. 16th — Optionally posting gifts to the Commune or mainsite.
What this thread is for: Gauging interest (Is this something people actually want?), finalizing the scheduling (I just copied the mainsite schedule and shifted it forwards so "Christmas" would be on Chinese New Year, but other timeframes are fine with me), and figuring out who will actually run it (I'm fine being the proctor, but if someone else wants to assign gifters and send a bunch of PMs to people, sound off).
